Well, I believe introductions are in order. Hello! I’m Annie. If you’re reading this, chances are that you a.) already know me (hi!) or b.) my SEO skills paid off and you found me randomly (but really, I’m not betting on that). Doesn’t matter how you found me, just happy that you did! Welcome 🙂

A Few Things to Know

Rhode Island is my home. I love to stroll on the beach, appreciate a good snowstorm, and have a jar of sea glass collecting dust on my desk. It’s the little things in life. Also, I’m an alum of Providence College and am thrilled that I didn’t have to leave my state to attend my dream school.

I’m a Sagittarius. If you follow astrology, then you know that means I’m endlessly curious about any and everything, love to travel, enjoy being outside, and am constantly in search of a new adventure — both phsyically and mentally. For me, those adventures often come in the form of words. Which brings us to our next bullet point.

I’m a writer. In addition to my full-time job as a university communications coordinator, I’m a freelancer who is always looking for my next byline. Most notably, I write about education, travel/tourism, professional development, and current events. I also ghostwrite articles on financial planning for several national banks.

So, what’s the point of this post? I’m glad you asked! Recently, I started a new venture as a travel writer. I know, it sounds magical but also kind of far-fetched. For now, my goal is to start small and write one travel-focused post a month in order to grow my portfolio in this niche. And where better place to start than the Ocean State? This summer, I’ll be cruising around Rhody looking for interesting stories to tell. AND I’M SO EXCITED.
